Global Intercession

THE ISRAEL PALESTINE CONFLICT.

 The Bible instructs us to pray in every circumstance. As believers of Jesus -Christ we are not picking any side in the conflict between the political governments of Israel and Palestine. Still, we are asked to pray for the city of Jerusalem because it is a sacred land. Jerusalem is called holy land because our God has appeared to mankind several times.  

The blood of Jesus was shed in the city of Jerusalem.

 Jerusalem and Samaria were two sisters and cities that the Lord married but then divorced. You can read Ezekiel 23 where God announced his wrath against the cities of Jerusalem and Samaria and proceeded to divorce them.

 Jerusalem was a shadow of the marriage between Jesus Christ and his church.

 You can read the following scriptures in full I will just highlight some.  You can also pray for Jerusalem with the following scriptures: 

Psalm 122

verse 6:

 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee.

verse 9:

 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

Isaiah 62

verse 1:

 For Zion's sake I will not hold my peace, 

And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest. 

Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,

And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
